Education, B.A. - Pre-K thru 4th

Program Description

Successful completion of this program leads to a recommendation for Pennsylvania Instructional I certification in Early Elementary Education (PreK–4). Students may also take an additional exam to extend certification through grades 5 and 6. Earning early elementary certification prepares graduates to teach foundational skills in literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies while supporting the social, emotional, and developmental needs of young learners. This certification opens the door to careers in preschool and elementary classrooms where teachers play a critical role in shaping children’s earliest school experiences.

Why Take This Major?
